The Doctor of Good Vibes

September 16, 2019

Continuing our Miami Carnival series we enter the realm of music and we go behind the music with Doctor Esan.

There can be no carnival without the DJ's that make our bodies move to the sweet sound of soca music. In this episode we get the back story, how did the good doctor get started and what's in a DJ name?

I am quite familiar with what Doctor Esan prescribes, he's been a DJ and MC at our annual FrenOlympics Games and he always brings the VIBES! Esan is quiet and super chill IRL but when he gets behind a mic and his soundboard (is it even called that? I have no clue) he takes on a Sasha Fierce persona.

We chat about the mesmerizing powers of crowd control that DJ's have, and what it's like juggling 2 jobs, one that is passion-driven and the other that he also loves that's challenging and fulfilling as well.

It was super cool to hear how he got interested in music and what keeps him going in this industry. Esan we will check ya on the road with Revel Nation for Miami Carnival, I am looking forward to it!
