One that I am particularly BLESSED to live. Let me introduce myself.
My name is Azalea Hart - YouTuber, Host, Voice Over Talent, Carnival Chaser and now…official blogger for Carnival Kicks!
When it comes to carnival, soca and my Caribbean culture, to me, nothing can compare. One thing that has been constant throughout my carnival adventures has been my Carnival Kicks Sidekick gold boots. We’re a TEAM. I can’t picture wearing anything else on the road. So I am BEYOND honoured to be the new blogger for this site.
I was a freelance reporter for a Caribbean network in Toronto where I attended Caribbean events around the city and interviewed notable public figures in the community. On my own, I created and hosted a YouTube channel called Carnivlog where I attended Carnivals around the Caribbean and North America and documented them vlog-style. I also interviewed many celebrities like Sean Paul, Rupee, Bunji Garlin, Patrice Roberts, Ricardo Drue, GBM Nutron, Alison Hinds, Walshy Fire of Major Lazer and more!
On a day-to-day basis, I host (also created) another YouTube channel focused on pop culture, Disney and trending topics which has over 150,000 subscribers.
I was also the Face of Toronto Carnival 2016. 
Get to know me a little:
Favourite soca song: This is a HARD question. I need to categorize - are we talking GROOVY or POWER? I loooooove me a power soca that has the pores on your entire body raised BUT…a good groovy soca can do that too. I may have to skip on this question but comment below and tell me yours!
Favourite carnival: Albeit Trinidad Carnival is the GREATEST show on earth….Jamaica Carnival is a close second to me. Ps. Have you seen their costumes for 2018? GAWD!
Carnival Monday or Carnival Tuesday: This may seem like a silly question to some but honestly, I LOVE Carnival Monday - mostly because I can be as creative as I want with my Monday Wear and also roam around and see what other masqueraders came up with!
Cooler Fete or Drinks Inclusive: Cooler parties are always amazing because 1. You now have a STAGE (err…cooler) to stand on. 2. You bring all your liquor! On the other hand the only thing you have to worry about at a drinks inclusive is what you’re going to wear and what tent do you start at? (Hennessy, duh!)
