Tell Your Story

Tell Your Story

This is how I’m going to introduce Mr. Asa Sealy … I'll start by telling you about somebody completely different.

Many, many moons ago a young Farrah went to the Queen’s Hall (a theater in Trinidad) to see a production by Mr. Paul Keens Douglas named “Tell Me a Story”. It was wonderful and captivating, and that childhood memory stuck with me.

I probably saw that production when I was somewhere around 8, 9 or 10 years old and some 30 years later I can recall him by name and the memory of his story-telling has stayed with me.

THIS is how powerful the art of storytelling is. And my guest today is a master of it, but his artistry in storytelling takes on a completely different form. Asa is the owner of a Marketing and PR firm aptly named “That Branding Guy”

What he said during our conversation that stuck most with me was that everyone has a story, every business, every brand. And it’s in telling that story that we become successful.

I was also really impressed me was the out-of-the-box thinking and the very different point of view that Asa has taken on how to take Miami Carnival and Miami Junior Carnival to new heights.

I hope this Miami Carnival Segment was interesting and engaging, we spoke with a DJ, event production and band leaders, costume designer and marketing professional. There are so many jobs and passions that work behind-the-scenes in pulling off an even of this magnitude and there were many others that I’d have love to have spoken with, but there’s always next year, and we have lots of carnivals to come…next up is Las Vegas Carnival and of course the big bad beast of Trinidad Carnival 2020.
